*Effective 1 October 2026. Supplements the Terms of Service; read with the separate Privacy Policy.*

## 1. What this covers

Cookies and similar technologies — including local storage, tags and device identifiers — used on legalicious.com by Bitesize Ventures, Inc., operating the Legalicious project ("**Legalicious**", "**we**").

## 2. Our launch approach

At launch, we limit these technologies to essential site functions and aggregate analytics. We do not use advertising pixels or retarget visitors on other platforms, and we do not track email opens or email-link clicks.

Where a technology requires consent, we obtain it before using that technology and provide a way to decline or withdraw it as easily as giving it. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent access to the service. Describing analytics as aggregate or cookieless does not by itself determine whether consent is required.

## 3. Essential functions and analytics

**Essential functions.** Storage needed to provide a service you request, such as signing in, maintaining a secure session and using an invitation. Which storage is necessary depends on its actual purpose and implementation.

**Aggregate analytics.** Usage statistics help us understand use of the site and content. Aggregate reports do not identify individual viewers. Analytics providers may process technical request information to generate those statistics; see the Privacy Policy. We do not use analytics to build advertising audiences or identify individual readers to participants.

**Current site technologies.** Supabase authentication cookies maintain and refresh your signed-in session; signing out removes the local session. An invitation cookie lasts up to thirty minutes and is cleared after successful sign-in. A browser preference named `legalicious-analytics-consent` records your analytics choice until you change it or clear browser storage. Where enabled with your permission, Vercel Web Analytics supplies aggregate usage measurement. Private onboarding and account pages are excluded from that measurement.

Optional analytics are off until you allow them in Cookie settings. Global Privacy Control overrides permission for optional analytics. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies to bypass that choice.

## 4. Embedded video

Embedded players must follow the same launch restrictions. Where a player requires consent for non-essential technologies, we obtain it before loading those technologies. A provider's privacy-enhanced label is not a substitute for checking its actual behaviour. If a player cannot meet these requirements, we do not use that embed at launch.

## 5. Email

We do not use tracking pixels to measure whether you open our emails, or tracking redirects to measure which email links you click. Essential sign-in, verification and unsubscribe links still work, and service providers may keep delivery and security records. Processing those service requests is not used to measure email engagement. Ordinary aggregate site analytics may operate after you arrive on the site, subject to the rules above.

## 6. Third-party platforms

When you watch Legalicious content directly on LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok or Instagram, that platform applies its own policies. We do not control technologies used on those third-party services. Embedded players on our site remain subject to section 4.

## 7. Managing storage and choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent requested features, such as signing in, from working. Change or withdraw permission for optional analytics through Cookie settings in the footer. Declining is as accessible as allowing. Your choice applies to this browser. Questions can be sent to team@legalicious.com.

## 8. Changes

We update this notice before introducing materially different uses and obtain consent where required. Advertising pixels, retargeting and email-open/click tracking are outside the launch scope described here; this notice does not authorise their activation.
