Copyright Policy
Version 2.0 · Effective 2026-10-01
Legalicious Copyright Policy
Effective 1 October 2026. Supplements the Terms of Service.
1. Two kinds of content, two responsibilities
Legalicious Content — faculty and guest videos, written profiles, editorial copy, transcripts and summaries — is produced by Legalicious. If you believe it infringes your rights, contact us and we deal with it directly under section 4.
User Content — questions, posts, comments, answers and replies — is posted by users. Legalicious hosts it and does not produce or pre-screen it. Public posting is not currently offered; section 2 describes the current scope.
Ownership of finished productions and underlying contributions is governed by the applicable participant agreement. This complaints process does not expand Legalicious’s ownership or replace a participant’s contractual approval and takedown rights.
2. Copyright reports
Public user posting is not currently offered. For copyright concerns about published Legalicious Content, use the process in section 4. This notice does not represent that Legalicious currently has a registered DMCA agent. Before offering public User Content hosting, we will publish the applicable notice-and-counter-notice procedure and designated-agent contact details.
3. Participant rights
Approval, distribution and takedown of participant Work remain governed by the Participation Agreement and the accepted Enrollment. A copyright report does not replace those rights or procedures.
4. Complaints about Legalicious Content
Email team@legalicious.com identifying the work you believe is infringed, the challenged material and its URL, your contact details, and the basis for your claim and authority to make it. We review these ourselves and will remove, edit or respond within a reasonable time. Where the content is a participant's video, we also notify the participant.
5. Repeat infringers
We terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
6. Other rights complaints
Trademark, privacy, defamation and other complaints that are not about copyright go to team@legalicious.com with a link and an explanation. We handle them under the Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines & Content Policy.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The version on this page applies.
